‘Bible Health Guide for Every Illness’ – Our Profits Support Charity

Profits from the sale of Derek Clontz’s “Bible Health Guide for Every Illness” support Kiva, a not-for-profit organization that provides “micro loans” to worthy men and women worldwide. These small loans help recipients start small, profit-making businesses to support themselves and their families while lifting up their friends, neighbors and communities at the same time. Kiva isn’t a religious organization per se, but I believe it is doing God’s work and I am happy to contribute to the cause (see Christianity Today’s glowing review of Kiva and more on the group’s Christian membership).

As Kiva puts it:  “We envision a world where all people – even in the most remote areas of the globe – hold the power to create opportunity for themselves and others.

“We believe providing safe, affordable access to capital to those in need helps people create better lives for themselves and their families.

“Kiva works with micro-finance institutions on five continents to provide loans to people without access to traditional banking systems.

“One hundred percent of your loan – every penny – is sent to these micro-finance institutions.

“And 100% of every dollar you lend goes directly towards funding loans; Kiva does not take a cut. Furthermore, Kiva does not charge interest.

Kiva is primarily funded through the support of lenders making optional donations, grants, corporate sponsors, foundations and individuals.”
